Who's behind EVT Extravirgin Thoughts

Extravirgin Thoughts is where waste is reimagined and new materials are born. It’s a place for ideas to grow, processes to be tested, and possibilities to be designed. Here, we explore craft, sustainability, and bold experimentation, asking:

What if we did it differently?

Reworkshop
is a father of Extravirgin Thoughts, but it’s more than a brand, it’s an open creative space. Focused on circular design, it turns natural materials and waste into new possibilities, connects people and knowledge, and transforms tradition into innovation. Since 2022 in Lisbon, it has grown alongside my research into olive oil by-products and biodegradable materials.

Souad Ghaffari,
a multidisciplinary designer, 3 times awarded across Tunisia and the Arab world and certified by the World Packaging Organization (WPO). With hands-on experience working with NGOs and international organizations to drive positive social change. Hold an Applied Licence in Packaging Design from the Higher School of Sciences & Technologies of Design in Tunis, Tunisia, Souad’s work blends craft, research, sustainability and storytelling to create meaningful materials and products.
The Research

At the heart of Reworkshop is a relentless pursuit: transforming overlooked natural resources from discarded leaves, invasive plants, natural resins, and beyond, into beautiful, functional materials. The research blends hands-on experimentation with a commitment to accessible, environmentally responsible design.

EVT Shop

The shop is more than a marketplace, it’s a research engine. Every purchase funds ongoing biomaterials experimentation and fabrication. Turning products into platforms that challenge waste, share stories, and promote circularity, culture, and community. Connecting researchers, ethical firms, industry, and labs. Each item is a catalyst for change.

The Workshops

Souad shares her methods through immersive workshops in papermaking and plant-based material creation. These sessions invite participants to slow down, work with their hands, and see raw materials in a new light, transforming curiosity into skill, and skill into action.

If it’s not sustainable,

it’s not good enough.

Waste? Not around here.

SLOW

No rush. No clutter. Just the quiet rhythm of things that return to the earth. Materials finding their way home, breaking down into what they once were, and beginning again in another form.

RAW

We start where nature starts, raw, wild, unapologetic. Nothing added. Nothing taken away. Just the pure, unfiltered essence of what already is, waiting to be discovered and shaped.

BOLD

Not loud, yet present, clear and confident in every detail. Rooted in stories and craft, it gently carries a subtle wink, hinting at depth and character beneath its composed exterior.
